Private graveside services for Mrs. Janunita Cobb, 87, of Oxford, will be Wednesday afternoon at Forestlawn Gardens with Dr. Jerry Cobb Officiating. The family will receive friends at Gray Brown-Service Mortuary this evening from 6-8 p.m. Mrs. Cobb died Sunday morning January 6, 2013, at Northeast Alabama Regional Medical Center. She is survived by a son, Dewey Cobb (Judi), of Oxford; daughters, Deborah Chandler, of Oxford and Joyce Burdett, of Foley; grandchildren, James Cobb (Ilka), Terry Stone (David), Karen Pitt (Dale), Kelly Cash (Tim), Patrick Cobb (Tia), Chad Burdett (Linda), Cole Burdett, Mark Chandler (Rebecca); Fourteen great-grandchildren, Timothy Pitts, Jonathan Pitts, Zachary Burrage (Sarah), Brannon Cash, Tanner Cash, Cayden Cash, Bradley Rogers, Tyler Cobb, Julia Burdett, Evan Burdett, Libby Burdett, Sadie Burdett, Avery Chandler, and Piper Chandler. Mrs. Cobb was preceded in death by her husband, Tom Cobb; a grandson, Chris Chandler; her parents, George and Effie Almaroad; a great-grandson and eight brothers. She also left behind a beloved dog, Ladybug. Pallbearers will be grandsons and great-grandsons.
