Funeral service for Jayne Lumpkin Penland, 60, will be at Benefield Funeral Home in Lineville on Sunday, December 13 , 2015, at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Richard East officiating. Burial will follow in the Black's Chapel Methodist Church Cemetery. Ms. Penland passed away on Thursday, December 10, 2015, at her home. Born in Rapid City, South Dakota, she was a former resident of England, Miss., Nevada and Georgia before settling in Delta where she had lived for the past 30 years. Ms. Penland was a graduate of Biloxi High School and had worked for Lowe's Home Improvement as a garden specialist. She loved gardening, collecting dolls and had a love for animals, especially her cats. She was a kind hearted, gentle soul and a loving aunt to her nieces and nephews. Ms. Penland is survived by her parents, Claude Lumpkin and Rose Lumpkin, of Delta; her sister, Karol Lumpkin Waters (Terry), of Lineville; her brother, Tommy Lumpkin, of Delta; five nieces and nephews and five great-nieces and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her beloved sister, Enola Lumpkin Burton. Pallbearers will be Michael Waters, David Lumpkin, Daniel Burton, Mark Waters, Jacob Clarke and Chris Wrightson.
