Service for Jeffery Lyn Turner, 45, will be Saturday, February 14, 2015, at 2 p.m. at Goshen United Methodist Church with the Rev. Joe DeWitte, B.J. Turner and Neil Turner officiating. Burial will follow at Goshen Cemetery. The family will receive friends this evening from 6-8 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home. The body will lie in state Saturday one hour prior to services at the church. Mr. Turner passed away Tuesday, February 10, 2015 at St. Vincent's St. Clair Hospital in Pell City. Survivors include his wife of 23 years, Renee Turner, of Spring Garden; children, Heather Donaldson (Cale), of Piedmont, Kelsey Turner and B.J. Turner, both of Spring Garden; one grandson, Turner Donaldson; one sister, Donna Kay Prickett (Johnny) of Grant; two brothers, Jerry Glenn Turner Jr. (DeAnna), of Hokes Bluff and Neil Turner (Amy), of Eastaboga; mother and father-in-law, Perry and Margaret Jones; two brothers-in-law, Ritchie Jones and Davy Jones (Lisa); several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Brian Jones, Tyler Willis, Josh Turner, Alex Prickett, Dylan Jones, Dakota Jones, Hollis Cherry and David Surteese. Honorary pallbearers will be co-workers of Honda Manufacturing of Alabama. Jeff was a native of Hokes Bluff and had been a resident of Spring Garden for many years. He attended Goshen United Methodist Church and had been employed with Honda Manufacturing of Alabama for 15 years. He loved spending time with his grandson, Turner, who was his pride and joy and enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching his son B.J. play football for Faulkner University and was an avid supporter of the Spring Garden athletics.
