Service for Jeffery Scott Ford, 50, will be today, April 17, 2016, at 2 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home with the Rev. Michael Ingram and the Rev. Shad Smith officiating and speakers Ken Grissom and Stan Jones. Burial will follow at Goshen Cemetery. The family received friends last night from 6 - 8 at the funeral home. Mr. Ford passed away Friday, April 15, 2016, at Floyd Medical Center. Survivors include children, Ty Ford (Sarah), of Fairhope, Taylor Ford O'Malley (Patrick), of Charlotte, N.C. and Trevor Ford, of Tuscaloosa; two sisters, Carolyn Bates, of Destin, Fla. and Wanda Simpson (Bruce), of Tenn.; one brother, Larry Ford, of Wellborn; several aunts, uncles, cousins and Crystal Smith. Pallbearers will be Mike Williams, Mark Harper, Joseph Smith, Ken Grissom, Bobby Edwards and Sammy Holbrooks. Honorary Pallbearers will be Steve Reeves, Mark Anderson and Scotty Grimes. Mr. Ford was a lifelong resident of Piedmont, owner and operator of Fords Body Shop, a youth athletic coach and a loving dad. He was an avid Alabama and Duke fan and supporter of Piedmont High School Sports. He was of the Christian faith and was known for his smile and whit.
