Funeral service for Jerre Lynn Scott, 52, will be 12 p.m. Thursday, September 11, 2014, at Gray Brown-Service with the Rev. Dan Mattox and Chaplain Larry Wimberly officiating. Burial will follow at Forestlawn Gardens. The family will receive friends this evening from 6 - 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Mr. Scott passed away Monday morning at his residence. Survivors include his sister, Rebecca Scott; brother, Steven Scott (Tilli), both of Oxford; Uncle, Woodie Scott; Brother-In-Law, Mike Campbell; nieces and nephews, Stephanie Welch (Brian), Jason Campbell (Shay), Jana Greenwood (Scott), Jennifer Wade (Adam), Ashley Mayfield, Adam Scott, Katie Scott and Levi Scott Bailey and several great nieces and great nephews. Mr. Scott is preceded in death by his parents, James and Hazel Scott; sisters, Pam Campbell and Debra Mayfield and brother, Dennis Scott. Pallbearers will be family and friends. Mr. Scott was an avid Braves and Alabama fan. He had a great passion for playing billiards. He was a loving brother, uncle and friends to many. He will be greatly missed.
