Home going celebration for the Rev. Jerry James Houston Kelley, 68, will be Saturday, September 06, 2014 at 3 p.m. (CST) in the tabernacle at the Piedmont Springs Congregational Holiness Campground with Brother Mark Willingham, Brother Gary Watts Brother James Rainey and Brother Larry McCoy officiating and Thompson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Burial will follow at Oaknoll Memorial Gardens in Rome, Georgia. The family will receive friends Saturday 1 p.m. (CST) until time of service at the campground. He is preceded in death by his parents, Minnie and Houston Kelley; one sister, Jo Anne Kelley and a granddaughter, Katie Marie Johnson. He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Robbie D. Kelley; two daughters, Lisa and Steve Johnson and April and Doug Brewster all of Rome, Ga.; a very special nephew, Anthony Johnson and his wife Elizabeth, of Rome, Ga.; six grandchildren, James "Jamie" Helm, Matt and Jacob Brewster, Laurie, Lindsey and Landon Johnson, of Rome, Ga.; two brothers, Dannie and Ronnie Kelley, both of Rome, Ga.; three sisters, Sheila Turner and Kathy Reed both, of Rome, Ga. and Teresa Terry, of Calhoun, Ga. Pallbearers will be James "Jamie" Helm, Matt Brewster, Jacob Brewster, Landon Johnson, Doug Brewster and Aaron Turner. Honorary pallbearers will be all the men of Plainview Congregational Holiness Church. Brother Kelley spent 30 years at Cable TV Industry and also many years as a christian radio host. He preached the gospel for over 49 years and is the pastor of Plainview Congregational Holiness Church. www.thompsonfuneralhomepiedmont.com
