Funeral service for Jerry Myroup, 72, will be Sunday, September 7, 2014, at 2 p.m. at the K.L. Brown Funeral Home and Cremation Center Chapel in Jacksonville with the Rev. Rickey Hudson officiating. Burial will be in Seven Springs Cemetery. The family will receive friends at funeral home Saturday evening from 5 - 7 p.m. Mr. Myroup passed on Tuesday, September 2, 2014, at Wellstar Windy Hill Hospital in Marietta, Georgia. He is survived by his wife, Joan Myroup, of Jacksonville; two daughters, Christine "Chris" (Pat) Trussell, of Wellington and Cheryl Harrington, of Indian Harbour Beach, Fla.; a daughter-in-law, Lora Myroup, of Chicago, Ill.; eight grandchildren, Aaron Graves, Lyndsey Workman, Jeremy Graves, Josh Johnson, Matt Whaley, Hayley Myroup, Kayla George and Amelia Harrington; two great-grandchildren; his brother, Wayne (Anna) Myroup, of Harrisburg, Ind. and four nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be his grandsons, Pat Trussell and Nick Lamirata. Mr. Myroup was a veteran of the US Army and served in the Vietnam War era. He loved his family and enjoyed wood working, fishing and listening to music. Mr. Myroup was an avid NFL fan and faithfully cheered on his Chicago Bears. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Mr. Myroup was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Lorraine Dykstra Myroup and his son, Jeffrey Myroup.
