Jerry W. Allred, Sr., devoted family man, Auburn fan and a true friend to anyone he met, passed away on November 24, 2017. His true passion in life was meeting and helping people, especially children. He was a loyal and dedicated member of the Masonic Order Lodge 931, Formerly 700 and Zamora Shrine Center, where he proudly served as Potentate during 2005. Whether at work or play, he had no time for second gear. His passion for life and love for others was contagious. He was a 1959 graduate of Susan Moore High School. He attended Leyden Hills Presbyterian Church. He was a successful business owner with many in Calhoun County to include Fish and Ski Marine, 431 One Stop, Allred's Bait Shop and currently JJ's Food Mart. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Dan and Mintora Allred, by his Sisters, Hazel Rigsby, Betty Mills, Elizabeth Fleming and May Rauchenberg, and his Brothers, Hobert Allred and Herbert Allred. He is survived by his wife Annette of 52 years, Sons, Jerry (Tammy) Allred Jr., and Jason (Kellie) Allred, Sisters Lucy Stockman, Cindy Vest, Nell (Gay) Hawkins, Brother, Howard (Dolly) Allred, Granddaughters, Emma Allred and Jay Anna Allred, Grandson, Bailey Ingram and many loving nieces, nephews and extended family. Memorial Service will be held Friday, December 1, 2017 at Miller Funeral Home in Oxford, Al. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm, with the Memorial following at 2:00 pm.
