Jacksonville - Funeral services for Jessie Franklin Godbey, 85, will be Saturday, May 11, 2013, at 11 a.m. at the Nie Family Funeral Home in Ann Arbor, Michigan. The family will receive friends Friday, May 10, 2013 at the funeral home from 3-8 p.m. Mr. Godbey died on Monday, May 6, 2013, at Jacksonville Regional Medical Center. He is survived by his wife, Etta Lou Godbey, of Jacksonville; three daughters, Jessica (Jeff) Brugh, of Ypsilanti, Michigan, Judy (Terry) Campbell, of Clayton, Indiana and Jolena (Brian) Nollar, of Saline Michigan; two sons, Jessie F. (Caroline) Godbey II, of Jacksonville, and Jeffrey D. (Sandi) Godbey, of Howell, Michigan; two sisters, Agnes Kidd, of Waynesburg, Kentucky and Flossie Jean (William) Smith, of Waynesburg, Kentucky; 11 grandchildren; four great-grandsons; one great-great-grandson; numerous nieces and nephews; and many special friends in Kentucky and Michigan. Mr. Godbey was an Army veteran of the Korean War. He enjoyed spending time outdoors hunting and working in his garden. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Mr. Godbey was retired from the Ford Motor Company. He was preceded in death by six sisters; two brothers and his parents, Mitchel and Ethel Godbey. Online condolences to the family at: K.L.
