Funeral service for Jessie Hayes Burton "Tiny", 64, will be on Saturday, June 10, 2017, at 1 p.m. at the Oconee Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Oliver Gaston officiating. Interment will follow in Eden Hills Cemetery. Mr. Burton passed away on June 2, 2017 at Grandview Medical Center, Birmingham. Mr. Burton's remains will arrive at the church one hour prior to his service. He graduated from Anniston High School, Gadsden State Technical College, and United Truck Masters of America. Mr. Burton retired after 34 years as a professional highway driver. Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Burton; daughters, Deliska (Travis) Cooley and Deidra (Torry) Brown; grandchildren, Sydni Cooley, Skyla Cooley, Kyron Brown, Kennedy Brown, Kaden Brown, Karsyn Brown, Kree Brown, Travis (Isabel) Cooley Jr. and April Cooley; great- grandchildren, Travis Cooley III and Tristen Cooley; siblings, Shirley (Steve) Chapman, Annie (Kenneth) O'Neal, Brenda Dupree, Cleo (Anthony) Tyus, Wanda Hall, DelRetta Turner, Wayne (Maggie) Smith, Chrysanthemum (Wayne) Sears, Alicia Smith, Phyllis Brock, Josephus (Rinda) Burton, Jerry Burton and Billy Minniefield; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Colonial Wood Burton Sr. and Martha Alyce Smith Burton; siblings, Margaret Dawson, Colonial Burton and Willie Ralph Burton; parents-in-law, Edward Ware Sr. and Annarine Clark; nephews, Eric Richard Mays Sr. and Dante Hall; brothers-in-law, Robert Dawson Jr., Curtis Hall and Robert Turner.
