A funeral service for Jesus Mario Aguilar, 77, will be held Sunday, July 27, 2014, at 3 p.m. at the K.L. Brown Funeral Home and Cremation Center Chapel, in Jacksonville, with Father Jim Macy officiating. Mr. Aguilar died on Thursday, July 24, 2014, at his residence. Cremation will follow after the service. Survivors include his wife, Ena Aguilar, of Jacksonville; his daughter, Ena Alicia Aguilar, of Oaxaca, Mexico; two sons, J. Mario Aguilar, of Jacksonville and Gerardo (Elisa) Aguilar, of Boston, Mass.; four grandchildren, Kristen Aguilar, Daniela Aguilar, Camden Aguilar and Yvan Aguilar; one sister, Graciela Burgos, of Mexico; two brothers, Humberto Aguilar, of Anniston and Jose Luis Aguilar, of Mexico and numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Aguilar was a Catholic by faith and a loving husband, father and grandfather. He and his wife, Ena, moved to the United States, from Mexico, to unite with family. They made their permanent home at the International House at Jacksonville State University for 15 years, where he touched lives, made memories and was a friend to all who knew him. Mr. Aguilar will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his sister, Leticia Sanz and his brother, Javier Aguilar.
