The funeral service for Mrs. Jettie G. Isbell, 96, will be at 11 a.m. today, August 19, 2016, at K.L. Brown Memory Chapel in Golden Springs with Pastor Truman Norred and Dr. Robert Ford officiating. Burial will follow at Forestlawn Gardens. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Mrs. Isbell passed away on August 17, 2016 at NE Alabama Regional Medical Center. Jettie was a longtime member of E. 22nd Street Baptist Church and was currently a member of Blue Mountain Baptist Church. She was known for her delicious cooking and gracious hospitality. She loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and walked with Him daily. Jettie is preceded in death by her mother, Beatrice Baber; her father, Dewey Gilliland; a brother, Herman Gilliland, and her precious husband, Woodrow W. "Woody" Isbell. She is survived by the joy of her life, her great- niece, Shea Hapach; a great-great-nephew, Cole Hapach, whom she adored, and beloved cousins, Brenda (Mac) Howell, Jimmy Gilliland (Mildred) and Pauline Griffin. Pallbearers will be John Triplett, John Palmer, Cole Hapach, Jimmy Turner, Vinton Crawford, MD and David Simpkins. Honorary pallbearers will be Mac Howell and Bill Dobbs. A heartfelt thanks to the staff at NHC and the 5th floor staff at RMC for their loving care of Jettie. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to , 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 ( Jettie was a faithful supporter of St. Jude for many years. Online condolences may be made at K.L.
