Funeral service for Jim Alexander, 71, will be Wednesday at 3 p.m. at Gray Brown Service Mortuary with the Rev. David Morris officiating. The Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Jim passed away Friday in Heflin. Survivors include his daughter, Elizabeth Alexander; step-daughter, Sharon Shepherd; sisters, Reba Reed (Robert), Ruth Alexander; brothers, Joe Alexander (Margaret) and Billy Alexander (Debbie); grandchildren, Addisyn Benefield, Kimberly Shepherd and several nieces and nephews. Jim is preceded in death by his wife, Deborah Alexander; parents, Earl and Della Alexander; brothers, Ray and Bobby Alexander; sister, Ruby Alexander.
