Funeral service for Jimmie Francis Dinwiddie, 87, formerly of Anniston, will be 1 p.m., Thursday, July 2, 2015. at Gray Brown-Service Chapel. Burial will follow at Vinson Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Mrs. Dinwiddie passed away Monday June 29, 2015, in Gadsden. Jimmie was born in Ohatchee to Hopkins and L.Z. Francis. She was a graduate of Ohatchee High School and Jacksonville State University. Jimmie was a former employee of Downtowner Motor Inn and retired from NHC Healthcare. She was a member of Parker Memorial Baptist Church. She was a loving mother and grandmother. She cherished her cats, loved the outdoors and a good book. Survivors include daughter, Dale Armstrong (Lamar); son, Michael Dinwiddie; grandchildren, Leslie Magouirk, David Dinwiddie, Lee Saffold and Joshua Saffold (Heather); great-grandchildren, Lydia Magouirk, Daniel Magouirk, Wesley Magouirk and Alana Saffold; niece, Harriet Francis (Jeff). She is preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Catherine and Sophena; brother, Hopkins Jr. and son, Frank Dinwiddie. Online condolences made at www.graybrown service.com
