Anniston - Funeral services for Mr. Jimmy Ray "Hollywood" Sims, 74, of Anniston, will be Monday, April 8, 2013, at 11 a.m. at K. L. Brown Memory Chapel in Golden Springs with Mike Drummond officiating. Burial will follow at Edgemont Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday evening, April 7, 2013, from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home. Mr. Sims passed away Thursday, April 4, 2013, at Northeast Alabama Regional Medical Center. An Anniston native, Mr. Sims was a member of Bible Baptist Church. He served in the U.S. Navy, loved to sing, play guitar, and write songs. Mr. Sims is preceded in death by his parents, George "Buddy" and Willie Sims; daughter, Paula Amanda Sims; grandson, Tony Ray Mayne; and sister, Earlene Sankey. Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Madgalene Sims; daughters, Linda Sims, Gail Trapp and her boyfriend, David Jones, Tawana Sims and her boyfriend, Chad Bozeman, and Kelley Sims Ledbetter and her husband, Danny; grandchildren, Laura Jordan, Michael Bline, Lacey Evette, Timothy Mayne, Brandy Brock, Ashley Mayne, Tracy Lipscomb, Timothy Pointer Jr., Tabatha Pointer, Travis Pointer, Brittany Weldon, Zach Taylor, Brandon Sullivan, Brittany Timmons, and Rebecca Ledbetter; twenty-two great-grandchildren; sisters, Debbie Chandler and her husband, Jimmy and Carolyn Jones and her husband, Larry; brother, Roy Sims Miller and his wife, Barbara; sister-in-law, Teresa Lapier; and numerous nieces and nephews.
