Funeral service for Jimmy William Harrell, 68, will be Wednesday, December 31, 2014 at 1 p.m. at the K.L. Brown Funeral Home and Cremation Center Chapel in Jacksonville with the Rev. William Cain officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. prior to the service. Mr. Harrell went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, December 28, 2014. He is survived by his wife, Annette Sutley Harrell, of Jacksonville; his son, Shane Harrell and his wife, Paige, of Jacksonville; three grandchildren, Austin, Wesley and Olivia Harrell, all of Jacksonville; one sister, Venessa Lane, of Anniston; one brother, Rickey Harrell and his wife, Angi, of Jacksonville and one nephew, Trevor Lane, of Anniston. Pallbearers will be Mike Murray, Tom Kilgore, James Manscill, Austin Harrell, Wesley Harrell, Wayne Sexton, Andrew Nelson and Gary Angel. Mr. Harrell was a member of Asberry Baptist Church. He loved serving his Lord and singing gospel music for Him. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, bird watching and researching genealogy. Mr. Harrell was a U.S. Army veteran, serving his country during the Vietnam War era. He retired from working at the Anniston Army Depot after 20 years and then went to work for the City of Jacksonville, retiring after 14 years as an Operator 1. Mr. Harrell was a loving husband, father, PawPaw and brother. He was devoted to his family and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
