Joan Annette Magouirk Davis went to her heavenly home on Saturday, March 14, 2015. She passed peacefully surrounded by her family. Memorial service for Mrs. Magouirk- Davis will be today March 17, 2015 at 7 p.m. at Chapel Hill Funeral Home with the Rev. Mike Samuels and the Rev. Tommy Hayes officiating. The family will accept friends from 5-7 p.m. on today at the funeral home. Mrs. Magouirk-Davis is survived by her daughter, Kym (Todd) Mason; son, Slay (Tamara) Magouirk; grandchildren, Justin (Jenny) Mason, Lyndsey Mason, Slayton Magouirk and Josh Magouirk; great-grandchildren, Madison Nix and Payton Mason; several nieces and nephews; sister-in-law, Wanda Tucker; brother-in-law, Marvin Kilgore. Mrs. Magouirk-Davis was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Davis; parents, RV and Louise Tucker; sisters, Jayne DeJaynes and Jeannine Kilgore; brother, Jimmy Tucker; granddaughter, Fallon Magouirk; niece, Khris French. Mrs. Magouirk-Davis was a native and lifelong residence of Calhoun County, a member of Ragan's Chapel United Methodist Church, graduate Ohatchee High School where she was a cheerleader, a member of the "O" club. She was one of the first female drivers for UPS and volunteered with the tornado recovery. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and trips to the beach. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were her pride and joy. In lieu of flowers family request donation be made to Ragan Chapel United Methodist Church. A special thanks to Gentiva Hospice for the devoted care and support given by Mrs. Laura and Patti in this difficult time. Joan will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
