Funeral service for Mrs. JoAnn Ginn Burgess, 66, will be 1 p.m., Sunday, June 22, 2014, at Gray Brown-Service Chapel with the Rev. Lloyd Watkins and the Rev. Larry Gardner officiating. Burial will follow at Crook Cemetery. The family will receive friends 2 hrs. prior to the service at the funeral home. Mrs. Burgess passed away Friday, June 20, 2014, in Jacksonville. Survivors include her husband, Terry Burgess; daughter, Rita (Steve) Chauncey; son, Timothy "Bo" (Tammy) Vinson; grandchildren, Logan Vinson and Allie Vinson; her sisters and brother, Faye Hammonds, Sonny Ginn, Sue Slowik, Linda Ginn and Brenda Hanvey; numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Burgess is preceded in death by her daughter, Tonya Vinson; parents, Earl and Lucille Ginn and brother, Terry Ginn. Mrs. Burgess was of the Baptist faith. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren going to yard sales. Online condolences made at www.graybrownservice.com.
