Funeral service for Joe Cain, 73, will be 11 a.m. Wednesday January 20, 2016, at Gray Brown Service Chapel. Mr. Cain will be laid to rest at Maple Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Mr. Cain went to see his Master on January 16, 2016. He was born on March 2, 1942 to the late Joe Franklin Cain and Winfred G. Cain. In addition to his parents, Mr. Cain was preceded in death by his step-father, Marshal Roper; several brothers and sisters. He is survived by his loving wife, Mrs. Mary Joyce Cain; daughters, Phyllis (Kenny) Stephens, of La., Renae (Robert) Snelling, of Anniston; sons, Phillip Cain and Jesse (Rhonda) Cain, of Anniston; grandchildren, Jennifer Snelling, Crystal Jenkins, Nikki Queen, Mark Gallahar, Craig Cain, Kayla Cain, Ray Snelling; great-grandchildren, Connor Cain, Maddie and Ali Jenkins, Tyris, Kenneth and Aric Queen, Gabe and Kyndal Gallahar, Aaron Pinson and J.T. Jenkins Jr.; brother, William Cain; sister, Louise Simpson; a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and other relatives; one very best friend of 35 years, Mr. Charlie Baily and other special friends. Mr. Cain was a firm but loving husband and father. He worked very hard for his family in all local cotton mills, was in the US Army and owned and operated Joyce's Salvage Yard for 25 years. He owned a small rental business and was a very good landlord. He was the best husband, dad and friend a family could ever have. He will be greatly missed. We love you Pop! Pallbearers will be Tim Greenwood, Tommy Haynes, Benny Goodwin, Tony Goodwin, Marvin Southard, Keith Chumbly.
