Funeral service for the Rev. Joe Wesley McLeroy, 87, will be held Sunday, June 5, 2016, at 2 p.m. at Chapel Hill Funeral Home with the Rev. James Abernathy and Pastor Rick Luallen officiating with burial to follow at Oak Bowery Cemetery. Visitation will be tonight at the funeral home from 5-7. Mr. McLeroy passed away Thursday, June 2, 2016 at RMC in Anniston. Mr. McLeroy is survived by his wife, Edith McLeroy; daughters, Carol Kaminer, Katrina Bryant, Leanne Edmonson and Deborah Gilmore; sons, Luther "Butch" Brown and Kevin Colburn; grandchildren, Sera, Wesley, Regan, Jonathon, Shawn, Amy, Jennifer, Whitney, Dylan, Dakota and Kassidy; great-grandchildren, Brayden, Jaylyn, Kayliyah, Liam, Caleb, Sophia, Chuck, April, Devin, Aidan, Kenzie, Karley, Zoey, Deagan and Emma. He is preceded in death by his father, John McLeroy; parents, John T. and Geneva Holmes and granddaughters, Paige Adams and Janie Colburn. Pallbearers will be Wesley, Jonathon, Rodney, Devin, Dylan, Dakota, Josh and Aidan. Mr. McLeroy will be remembered for picking guitar and singing Southern Gospel music. He was a devoted Christian and a preacher of the Gospel. He served as a Deacon and elder at First Congregational Full Gospel Church on Deyo Street. Condolences may be left at www.chapelhillfh.com
