Funeral service for John A. Johnson, 93, will be on Saturday, November 26, 2016, at 2 p.m. at the Anniston Funeral Service Outreach Ministry in the Russell H. Williams Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Billy Springer officiating. Interment with military honors will follow in Eden Hills Cemetery. Mr. Johnson passed away on November 17, 2016, at Stringfellow Memorial Hospital. Mr. Johnson's family will receive friends and visitation at 1 p.m., prior to his service in the chapel. Mr. Johnson served in the United States Army, he was a World War II Veteran. He also retired from Anniston Army Depot. He was a faithful member of Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Lenora Johnson; daughters. Janet Stewart, Anita (Anthony) Etheridge, Leberta Jackson and Robbie Jean (Isaiah) Roberts; sons, David (Connie) Johnson, Clarence (Sandra) Oliver; siblings, Edna (James) Almon, Joy Lynn Johnson, Thomas (Eddy B.) Johnson, Lilbren Clyde (Agnes) Johnson, and Willie J. (Diane) Johnson; grandchildren, great- grandchildren, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; his sons, Stanley G.
