Funeral service for Mr. John A. Truss, 72, will be on Saturday, March 14, 2015, at 3 p.m. at the New Jerusalem AFM Church of God, Inc with Bishop TC Tolbert Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in Eden Hills Cemetery. Mr. Truss passed away March 9, 2015 at Noland Hospital. Mr. Truss's remains will arrive at the church two hours prior to his service. He was a member of Greater Thankful Baptist Church. He retired from Chalkline Industries. Survivors include his wife, Ruby Truss; children, Joyce Truss and Kendrick (Chaimika) Truss, all of Anniston; siblings, Rosetta (Jay) Wesley, Agnes Wesley and Carolyn Jackson, all of North Las Vegas, Nev., Phyllis (Thomas) Wynn, of Killeen, Texas, Jerlene Truss, of Raleigh, N.C.; grandchildren, great-grands, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Roosevelt and Ruby Guinn Truss; son, Marvin R. Truss; siblings, Earnest L. Truss, Melvin G. Truss, Willie L. Freeman and Annie L. Stuard.
