A funeral service for MSGT John Bernard Pello, USAF, ret., 89, of Anniston, will be at 4 p.m. today October 7, 2014 at K.L. Brown Memory Chapel in Golden Springs. The family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m. at the funeral home. Entombment will follow at Forestlawn Mausoleum. Mr. Pello passed away on October 2, 2014. Mr. Pello was a native of McKees Rock, Pa. and had been a resident of Calhoun County since 1984. He retired from the United States Air Force and from the civil service with a total combined time of 32 years. He was a member of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church. He was a former member of the Elks Lodge, the Moose Lodge, and the American Legion. Mr. Pello is preceded in death by his wife, Pauline Pello; brother, Robert C. Pello. Mr. Pello is survived by his sisters, Elizabeth Ford and Mary Ann Palecki, both of Pittsburgh, Pa. and numerous nieces and nephews.
