Private Graveside memorial service for John Calvin Jackson "Noonie" 64, will be on Saturday, April 4, 2015 at 2 p.m. at Eden Hills Cemetery with the Rev. Wonder I. Osborne officiating. Mr. Jackson passed away on March 7, 2015 at Highland Hospital, Rochester, N.Y. He graduated from Cobb Avenue High School in 1970. He was employed at Anniston Foundry and Blue Mountain Industries before moving to Rochester. Survivors include his children, Demorrow (Surice) Carpenter, Tara Clark, of Huntsville, Eric (Ziminia) Carpenter, of Piedmont, Joseph (Yarnyell) Ingram, of Gadsden, Denita Smelley and Leilana Ingram, both of Anniston; siblings, Ruth Patterson, Ella VanAlstyne, Lula (Byron) Walker and James (Mary) Jackson, all of Rochester; 20 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
