Funeral service for John Ealon Pyles, 92, of Anniston, will be 2 p.m., today, April 24, 2015, at Gray Brown Service with the Rev. Sheri Reynolds officiating. Burial will follow at Anniston Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Mr. Pyles passed away Wednesday morning at RMC. Survivors include his daughter, Betty Matthews and husband Phil; granddaughter, Michelle O'Dell and husband D.J.; great-granddaughters, Kelsey, Emma, Cloe and Haley O'dell; special nieces, Laura Beasley, Gail Duke, and Norvelle Nestor; special nephew, Howard E. Bowman; special friends, Delores Nosrat and Rachel Applegate; and caregivers, Crystal Surrett, Robert and Lori Lemons. Mr. Pyles is preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Ruby M. Pyles; and son, David Wayne Pyles. Pallbearers will be nephews. Mr. Pyles was born in 1922 in Moody, Ala. He served in World War II from November 1, 1942 - February 1946. He retired from Union Foundry after over twenty years of service. He was a member of Eulaton United Methodist Church and a member of the Susanna Wesley Sunday School Class.
