Weaver - John Ernest Reaves, 66, retired, died at home on Thursday, December 5, 2013, following a short illness. Mr. Reaves was born on March 31, 1947 in Greenville, South Carolina. He was the oldest of seven children born to the late Johnny R. and Ruby Reaves. Mr. Reaves attended Saks High School in Anniston. He loved music, and enjoyed writing and performing songs with his guitar. He was also a veteran who honorably served our country in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War. John is survived by his wife, Donna; his two daughters, Kellie Jones (Shannon), of LaGrange, Ga. and Jamie Martinez (Jerome), of Eastaboga; stepdaughter, Christie Lucas, of Weaver; grandchildren, Courtney Fuller, Cody Sharman, Nolan Jones, Haley Martinez, and Dalton Martinez; as well as great-grandchildren, Natalie, Madison and Aden Fuller. He is also survived by three sisters, Jan Jennings (Jeff), of High Point, N.C., Debbie Mange (Randy), and Lisa Jackson (Tommy), both of Alexandria; three brothers, Steve Reaves (Joan), of Wedowee, Ken Reaves (Frieda), of Oxford and Baron Reaves (Sabrina), of Alexandria; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral services for Mr. Reaves will be held today at 2 p. m. at Anniston Memorial Funeral Home. The Rev. Timmy McConnell, cousin of Mr. Reaves, will officiate. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery. Relatives and friends are welcome for visitation at the funeral home beginning at 12:30 today. Pallbearers will be Glenn Geier, Justin Geier, Jerry L.
