The funeral service for Mr. John Henry Hollaway, 82, of Lincoln, will be at 2 pm on Thursday, November 9, 2017 at KL Brown Memory Chapel with Reverends Dan Moran and Andy Hadley officiating. Burial will follow in Forestlawn Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Mr. Hollaway passed away on November 7, 2017 at Jacksonville Health and Rehabilitation. Mr. Hollaway was a retired machinist at the Anniston Army Depot. He was also a Mason. Mr. Hollaway had been a member of Cropwell Baptist Church for many years. He had gone on several mission trips with his churches and had also volunteered on building projects for Habitat for Humanity. He is preceded in death by his parents, Hurshel and Lucy Cannon Hollaway, and a sister, Naomi H. Stephens. Mr. Hollaway is survived by his wife, Joan Hollaway; children, John (Sylvia) Hollaway, Jr., Mike (Lisa) Hollaway, Bobby Hollaway, and Vickie Hollaway; a step daughter, Cyndi (Michael) Greenwood; a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Shirley and Denny Broadwell; ten grandchildren; several great grandchildren; his sisters, Betty Walker and Martha (Smokey) Patrick; and many nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Cropwell Baptist Church, 2700 Hardwick Road, Pell City, AL 35128 or to .
