Funeral services for Mr. John Michael "Mike" Clonts, 61, of Oxford, will be today at 3 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church of Anniston with the Reverend Tom Parrish and the Reverend Amy DeWitte officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Mr. Clonts passed away on June 6, 2013. Mr. Clonts was a 1969 graduate of Anniston High School and a graduate of The University of Alabama where he was a member of the Gamma Alpha Chapter of the Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity. He was the owner of Dixie Ice Cream Distributors for over 30 years. After retirement, he pursued his passion of golf by playing with The Hill Gang, and joining friends and family in the quest for finding the perfect cheeseburger. His greatest accomplishment was being a loving, devoted, and selfless husband, father, grandfather, and friend. Mr. Clonts is preceded in death by his parents, John Ernest and Vela Jean Haygood Clonts. Mr. Clonts is survived by his wife, Deborah Frazier Clonts; two sons, Matthew Michael Clonts and his wife, Holly, and Daniel Frazier Clonts and his wife, Carrie; a grandson, Chandler P. Armstrong; brothers and sisters-in-law, Donald Jeffrey Frazier Sr. and Diana Aguirre Frazier and Michael Lee Taylor and Drue Frazier Taylor; niece and nephews, Tracy Elizabeth Frazier, Donald Jeffrey Frazier Jr., Michael Kilfore Taylor, and Thomas Frazier Taylor; his mother-in-law, Janice Thornton Hudson; and his father-in-law, Donald Clarence Frazier and his wife, Joan Fox Frazier. Pallbearers will be Jeff Frazier, Jeffrey Frazier, Lee Taylor, M.K. Taylor, Frazier Taylor, and Chandler Armstrong. Honorary pallbearers will be Jack Bowen, Shawn Snider, John Hollingsworth, Phillip "Tubby" Bass, Steve Mullendore, Paul Trammell, Glenn Hurd, Ken Taylor, Curtis Simpson, Steve Wood, Pat O'Brien, and Paul Baker.
