Johnny Ray Poole, 62, went home to be with our Lord on Monday, August 10, 2015, at his residence in Montgomery. He was born June 18, 1953 in Anniston to Quention and Mattie Jane Poole. He was preceded in death by his parents; wives, Peggy Yarbrough Poole and Brenda Gayle Poole and his brother, James (Bub) Poole. Johnny is survived by his sisters, Sue Brown, of Tuscaloosa and Dot Gibson, of Oxford; his brother, Dr. Ken (Sarah) Poole, of Shalimar, Fla. and many nieces and nephews. Johnny was employed at Kershaw Manufacturing, currently owned by Progress Rail Services, a Caterpillar company, in Montgomery, as a designer for the past 13 years. He was an avid Auburn Tiger and NASCAR fan. Johnny was a man of few words with a dry sense of humor that he shared with those around him. A graveside service will be held Saturday, August 15, 2015, at 10 a.m. at the Union Grove Cemetery located at Cherokee County Road 45 in Piedmont. Honorary pallbearers will be Wayne Brown, Kye Elders, Harold Griffin and Patrick Snyder. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to The .
