Funeral service for Mr. Jon Cristopher Newton, 38, will be Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at 1 p.m. at the Liberty Methodist Church in Hackneyville. The Rev. Joey Bentley will officiate. Burial will follow in the adjoining church cemetery. The family will receive friends today, April 11, 2017 from 5-8 p.m. at Radney Funeral Home.Mr. Newton passed away on Saturday, April 8, 2017 at the University of Alabama Hospital. He was born on April 6, 1979 in Graham, Texas to Jon A. Newton and Tresa Gann Martin. He is survived by his daughter, Emily Ann Newton, of Talladega; wife, Kristi K. Sullivan, of Leeds; mother, Tresa Gann Martin, of Oxford; aunts, Donna Goray (Les), Lynelle Casteel (Larry), Linda Newton and Debbie Black (Ray), all of Graham, Tex.; brothers, Robert Beck (Amanda), of Duncanville and Corey Voss of Hackneyville; cousins, Lynn Dooley (Gene), of Flower Mound, Tex., April White (Robert) and Melissa Casteel, both of Graham, Tex., Lisa Black (Jimi), of Wichita Falls, Tex., and step-dad, Che Martin, of Oxford. He was preceded in death by his father, Jon A. Newton; grandparents, Gil and Flo Newton; grandfather, Vernon H. Gann; and grandmother, Geneva R. Poole.
