Mr. Joseph Lee Hudgins, 52, passed away on February 10, 2015. Joe was born on August 11, 1962 to Doug and Gladys Hudgins. A lifelong resident of Ohatchee, he graduated from Ohatchee High School Class of 1980. He proudly served his country in the United States Army and United States Marine Corps, which included holding posts in Heidelberg Germany and at the Pentagon in Washington D.C. Later on Joe worked as a boilermaker. He will be remembered as a loving son, brother, father and a die-hard Alabama fan. Mr. Hudgins was preceded in death by his parents, Doug and Gladys Hudgins; sister, Brenda (Carey) Hutton, all of Ohatchee. He leaves behind daughter, Heather (J.R.) Roberts, of Newnan, Ga.; son, Paden Hudgins; brother, Steve (Patsy) Hudgins, of Heflin; sisters, Charlotte (Kenneth) Bohannon, Darlene (Jeff) Chambers, Debra (Lynn) McKiven, all of Southside; grandchildren, Hunter and Henlee Roberts, of Newnan, Ga.; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. A private memorial service will be held.
