Funeral service for Joseph Robert "Bob" Aldridge, 99, will be Sunday, February 16, 2014, at 2 p.m. at the Jacksonville Church of Christ with Allen Webster officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at K.L. Brown Funeral Home and Cremation Center today from 6-8 p.m. and at the church one hour prior to the service. Mr. Aldridge died Thursday, February 13, 2014, at his residence. He is survived by his wife, Syble Aldridge, of Jacksonville; one son, Bobby Aldridge and Jean Hoag, of Seffner, Fla.; one brother, J.L. Aldridge of Corinth, Miss.; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Homer Smith, Larry Nelson, Robert Whitting, Gene Horton, Blake Hamm, Doug Rich, Terry Reagan and Jerry Reagan. Mr. Aldridge was a U.S. Army veteran who served during WWII and the Korean War and was retired from the Anniston Army Depot. He was a member of the Jacksonville Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Ellen Aldridge and a brother, John William Aldridge. Online condolences to the family at: K.L.
