Funeral service for Joy Migon "Maggie" Sandlin, 45, will be on Monday, March 31, 2014, at 2 p.m. at Springhill Baptist Church where the Rev. Tramaine Solomon, pastor and Bishop F.R. Traylor officiating. Burial will follow in Lineville Community Cemetery. Mrs. Sandlin passed on March 21, 2014, at Clay County Hospital. Mrs. Sandlin remains will arrive at the church at 11 a.m. before her service. A wake will be on this evening 5 - 7 p.m. at New Life Christian Center in Ashland. Mrs. Sandlin graduated 1988 from Lineville High School and later New World Business College, Gadsden State Community College. She was a member of New Life Christian Center, a Special Education Teachers Aide at Central High School, Clay County. Survivors include her husband, Minister John E. Sandlin; sons, Frederick R. Sandlin, Marcus D. Sandlin, Byron M. Sandlin, all of Barfield; stepson, Kendall (f) Wilson, of Ashland; step grandson, Kendall Wilson Jr.; father, Earnest Huey; siblings, Robert D. (Dahlia) Huguley, of Conyers, Ga., Charles P. German, of San Diego, Calif.; in-laws, Kenneth (Erika) Brooks, of Alexander City, Baron (LaKeshia) Sandlin, of Anniston, Timothy (Julanda) George, of Alabaster; uncles, Harvey (Ann) Wood, of Lineville, Elijah (Mary) Wood, of Anniston; other relatives and friends.
