Joyce Ann Mitchell went to be with our Lord on Tuesday, November 25, 2014. She served with her eternal husband SSG Oliver Mitchell, USA (ret) and their three children, Jeff, Kalia, and Mandy Mitchell at Ft. McClellan. While there she served in the Protestant Women of the Chapel (PWOC) and served on the board of the Retired Seniors Volunteer Program (RSVP). She was a member of the LDS faith and was a dental assistant. She received her CNA from Gadsden State Community College. She was loved by all she touched with her smile, kind loving heart, joy and compassion. She will be greatly missed. She is also survived by a brother, Jack Banner, of Houston, Texas; a sister, Janet Pipkins, of Texarkana, Ark. and four grandchildren, Morgan, Josh and Abby Mitchell, of Anniston and Mason Weldon Musick, of Powell, Tenn. The family will receive friends on Friday, November 28, 2014 from 6-8 p.m. at K.L. Brown Memory Chapel in Golden Springs.
