A memorial celebration will be held to honor the life of Judy Annette (Dickinson) Hamilton, Sunday, September 24, at 2:00 p.m. at West Park Heights Baptist Church. Mrs. Hamilton went home to be with her Lord on September 16, 2017. Rev. Omar Deen, of Panama City, Florida, Rev. Dicky McAllister of Geneva County, Alabama, and Dr. Randy Hagan of Anniston will be leading the celebration. Judy is survived by her husband of 55 years, Donald Hamilton; her daughters, Susan Campbell (Shawn) and Donna Hafley; grandchildren, Katherine, Lillian, Evan, Jake, and Nicholas Hafley; her sisters, Martha Otwell (Randy) and Blanche Hair (Gary); and several nieces and nephews. Judy is preceded in death by her parents, W. L. and Flossie Dickinson, and her beloved son-in-law Chet Hafley. Judy was a 1962 graduate of Wellborn High School, and received a Wives Certificate for Biblical Studies from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary while her husband pursued his Master of Divinity degree. She did this while working as secretary for the Librarian at NOBTS. She is a retiree from Wakefield's Department stores, finishing her career at the Wakefield's Distribution Warehouse. Don and Judy met at Eulaton Baptist Church in 1959. They dated for 4 years and married in the same church on February 22, 1963, making their sojourn together for fifty-nine years. The family will receive friends during a reception to follow the memorial service in the fellowship hall at the church.
