A funeral service for Mr. Julian Ray Brock, 82, will be held Saturday, August 16, 2014, at 11 a.m. at K.L. Brown Funeral Home and Cremation Center with the Rev. Charles Parris and the Rev. Roger Keenum officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, August 15, 2014 from 5-7 p.m. Mr. Brock died on Tuesday, August 12, 2014, at Gadsden RMC. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Marie Brock; a daughter, Denise (John David) Doss; one son, Jeffrey Brock; seven grandchildren, David Ray Doss, Derek Waylon Doss, Dustin Ryan Doss, Desiree Cheyenne Doss, Casey Allyn Brock, Ricky Brock and Robert Daniel Brock; 12 great-grand-children; three sisters, Clara (Kenneth) Cochran, Carolyn (Bill) Willis and Maxine Heathcock; two brothers, Glenn (Mary) Brock and Larry (Elaine) Brock; several nieces and nephews. Mr. Brock was a member of Westside Baptist Church in Piedmont. He served in both the U.S. Air Force and the National Guard and retired from the Anniston Army Depot. His kind spirit and sense of humor will be missed by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Oma Brock; two sons, Rickie Dewayne Brock and Danny Ray Brock; two sisters, Fay McCarrell and Rosa White; two brothers, Veston Brock and Roland Brock.
