Funeral service for June James Monroe, 52, will be on Saturday, February 27, 2016 at 2 p.m. at Friendship Baptist Church with the Rev. Carton Phillips officiating. Interment will follow in Eden Hills Cemetery. Mrs. Monroe passed away on February 19, 2016. Mrs. Monroe's remains will arrive at the church one hour prior to her service. Mrs. Monroe graduated from Anniston High School in 1982. She served on the Matron's Circle, Choir, Kitchen Committee and the Retreat Committee at Friendship Baptist Church. Survivors include her children, Devonta James, Teiatro James and Tephanie Monroe; godson, Keishawn Malbrough; sister, Anita Brown, Deborah Dill, Cheryl Lanier; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie B. James and Annie Brown; brother, James W.
