Funeral service for Kathleen A. Wynne, 83, will be Wednesday, May 6, 2015 at 2 p.m. at the K.L. Brown Funeral Home and Cremation Center Chapel, with the Rev. Cody Hale officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service on Wednesday. Ms. Wynne died Monday, May 6, 2015 at Cleburne County Nursing Home in Heflin. She is survived by two daughters, Vicki (Jody) Cooper and Penny (Butch) Welch, all of Anniston; five grandchildren, Rani Michele Welch, of Oxford, Summer Welch (Brad) Angel, of Jacksonville, Haley Welch (Frank) Proctor, of Eastaboga, Joli Cooper (Chris) Murtha, of Dunwoody, Ga. and Justin (Adriean) Cooper, of Oxford; eight great-grandchildren, Lillie Mae Sherman, Roanen Jett Varnum, Maeson Proctor, Drew Angel, Jude Murtha, James Murtha, Parker Cooper and Piper Cooper; and one brother, Tommy Atkins. Pallbearers will be family members and friends. Ms. Wynne attended Faith Temple Christian Center when she was able. She was an exceptional cook and was a talented artist. In her spare time she enjoyed crocheting, gardening and loving her animals. While living in the nursing home Ms. Wynne became very fond of their therapy dog, "Faith", whose companionship was a blessing. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hayward R. Wynne.
