Kenneth Earl Conaway, 82, passed away peacefully on March 6, 2014 in the Georgia War Veterans Home, Milledgeville, Georgia. Graveside service will be held on Sunday, March 9, 2014, at 2 p.m. at Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery, Forney, Alabama. The family will greet friends on Sunday, March 9, 2014, from 10 - 11 a.m. at Hart's Mortuary, Cherry Street, Macon, Georgia. Born in Anniston, Alabama on June 13, 1931, Mr. Conaway was the son of the late Jeff Conaway and the late Tommie Jane Conaway. He was predeceased by his wife, Mary. He graduated from Jacksonville State University with a degree in education and from Auburn University with a master's degree in Chemical Engineering. He was a chemical engineer and a retired United States Army Lt. Colonel. Mr. Conaway had worked for Westinghouse, Engelhard Minerals and Chemicals and Bickerstaff Clay Products. Mr. Conaway is survived by his sons, Ken Conaway, Jr. (Donna), Brian Conaway (Jane) and Jeff Conaway; granddaughters, Dr. Brooke Conaway, Kimberly Northcott, Farrell Conaway and Flynn Conaway.
