Funeral service for Kenneth Earl Kemp, 77, will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Gray Brown-Service Mortuary with the Rev. Donald Barnett officiating. Burial will follow at DeArmanville United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Mr. Kemp passed away Sunday at his residence. Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Vivian Comer Kemp, of Anniston; daughters, Dawne Thrash, of Anniston, Susan Holden (Billy), of Jacksonville, and Janine Moses (Steven), of Oxford; sons, Anthony Kemp (Robbie) and Kenneth Earl Kemp II, both of Anniston; sister, Myra Crosby, of Anniston; brother, S.O. (Bud) Kemp, of Anniston; grandchildren, Jason Wallace (Elizabeth), Bridget Kemp, Jessica Brown, Jacob Kemp, Kayla Deerman, Brandon Faneuf, Nicholas Moses, Alex Moses, Gavin Kemp and Kayden Kemp; great-grandchildren, Kourtney Wallace, Landon Wallace, Jayden Fields and Raelyn Deerman; numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Kemp is preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd and Fannie Kemp; sisters, Jewell Reaves, Sybil Bobo, Mary Weems and Ann Nelson; brothers, Harold Kemp and L.A. Kemp Jr. and wife Reba June Cobb Kemp. Pallbearers will be Mark Kemp, Jeff Hicks, Britt Weems, Joe Crosby, Rodney Gilmore and Billy Holden. Honorary pallbearers will be grandsons and nephews. Mr. Kemp was a native and resident of Calhoun County. He was a member of DeArmanville United Methodist Church. He graduated Oxford High School. He was a retired Dairy Farmer and Carpenter.
