Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Sunday, October 30, 2016, at Glencoe-Hokes Bluff Chapel, for Kenneth Wayne Grubbs, 65, who passed away Tuesday, October 25, 2016. The Rev. William E. Trapp, Larry Smith and Joey Ray will officiate. Burial will follow at Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery, Ohatchee. Glencoe-Hokes Bluff Funeral Home & Cemetery is in charge. Mr. Grubbs was of the Baptist faith. He was a 1969 graduate of Alexandria High School, retired from BAE Systems as a Machinists, an avid fisherman and reader. He loved crossword puzzles and anything that would engage his mind. He is preceded in death by his parents, Aaron and Vernell Grubbs and sister, Ellen Kay Grubbs. He is survived by his wife, Audrey; sons, Dustin (Deana) Grubbs, Matthew Grubbs; grandchildren, Dylan, Logan, and Hannah Grubbs; sisters, Doris (Bill) Laughlin, Karon (Randy) Wilbanks, Valarie (Tony) Hudson; brothers, Henry (Wanda) Grubbs, Ralph (Denise) Grubbs, and a host of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Rickey Taylor, Robert Massey, Stevie Smith, James Woodruff, Greg Thrower and Daniel Jones. Special thanks to New Beacon Hospice.
