Dr. Kenneth William Harvey Day, 75, passed away on July 19, 2016, at UAB Hospital. He was born in New Brunswick and moved to the US from Nova Scotia in 1984. He is survived by his wife, JoAnn Peck-Day; his sister, Elizabeth (Kent) Mitchell; his niece, Allison Mitchell and his grand-niece, Grace Mitchell-Qahawish. Ken and JoAnn loved to travel, driving throughout the United States and making frequent trips home to Nova Scotia, usually accompanied by their two kitties, Molly and Maggie. He was a true intellectual and shared his love of knowledge as a marketing professor at Jacksonville State University, retiring in 2014. He was a member of the American Marketing Association and the Academy of Marketing Science. Ken was an avid reader, a hockey fan and a devoted and loving husband to his wife. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked for donations to be sent to the Anniston Alabama Animal Shelter, 1201 Parkwood Dr, Anniston, AL 36201 or to a .
