Mr. Kristopher Gowens, 43, beloved son, father, grandfather and friend went to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 04, 2016. His family will receive friends Monday, February 08, 2016, from 12 - 2 p.m. in the Miller Funeral Home Chapel. A celebration of Mr. Gowens' life will follow at 2 p.m. He is survived by his beautiful daughters, Tori Caitlin Gowens and Mandi Shae Gowens; grandson, Trevor Blake Nicholson; mother, Denise Hughes Gowens; father, Oscar Kenneth Gowens; uncle, Randy Leon Hughes; aunt, Johnnie Baldwin; cousins, Donna Greene and Rhonda Hughes Williams. He is preceded in death by his brother, Johnny Lee Jones II; grandmothers, Mary Helen Gallahar Hughes and Mattie Geralds Gowens; grandfathers, Leon Hughes and Oscar Gowens. Pallbearers will be Timothy Nicholson Jr., Dennis Partain, Danny Allen, Wallace Gallahar, Evan Craig, Ray Craig and Carl Craig. Mr. Gowens was a loyal, dedicated, proud son, father, grandfather and friend. Mr. Gowens will be remembered for his love for God, his beautiful heart and his great dedication to support his friends and family in any way he could. He was an avid racing and Alabama football fan.
