L. June Gray, 1936-2015, passed away Sunday night June 28, 2015, after a brief illness. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Chaplain (COL) (RET) George H. Gray, of Anniston, Ala. and her two sons, Larry Gray and David S. Gray, both of Atlanta, Georgia. She was a military wife for 30 years and a devoted servant of the churches in which she and George served. Mrs. Gray was a native of St. Albans, W.Va. and grew up in South Charleston, W.Va. and was a resident of Anniston, Ala. for the past 18 years. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Saks, Military Officers Association of America and the Persephone Garden Club. The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday July 1, 2015, at the First United Methodist Church of Saks with the Rev. Bob Owens officiating. Burial follow at Anniston Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 11-1 p.m. at the church. Mrs. Gray is preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Sylvia Cox. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
