Graveside service for Larry A Woodard Sr, 66, will be Saturday, December 6, 2014, 1 p.m. at Pine Hill Cemetery in Talladega. Bro. Larry Holcomb and Bro. Barry Baines will be officiating. The family will receive friends on Friday from 6 till 8 p.m. at Miller Funeral Home. Mr. Woodard passed away on Tuesday at UAB Hospital. Survivors include his wife, Joan H Woodard; son, Larry A Woodard Jr (Staci); grandchildren, Haugen Woodard, Lindsay Woodard and Raymond Woodard; step brothers, Glenn Johnson and Alan Johnson; half-sister, Pam Combast; several cousins, nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Preston Morgan, Jarvis Cooper, Ross Chandler, Reggie Smith, Chris Rodgers and Ron Houpe. Honorary Pallbearers will be Barry Baines and LaRoss Graham. Mr. Woodard was retired from Anniston Army Depot. He was a veteran of the US Army serving during the Vietnam War. Mr. Woodard was baptized and was a member at Forest Park Baptist Church in Forest Park , Georgia. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his grandchildren. Mr. Woodard was an avid Alabama football fan. Mr. Woodard never meet a stranger.
