A Celebration of Life service for Mr. Larry Emerson Key, 73, will be Saturday, August 29, 2015, at 3 p.m. at K.L. Brown Funeral Home and Cremation Center Chapel with Dr. Derek Staples officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday from 1 - 3 p.m. prior to the service. Mr. Key died on Tuesday, August 25, 2015, at RMC in Anniston. He is survived by his daughter, Rebecca (Joseph) Key Duke, of Jacksonville; his son, Chris Key, of Jacksonville; two grandsons, Brody and Miles Duke, both of Jacksonville; two sisters, Jean Sherron, of North Carolina and Ann Hill, of Huntsville; two brothers, Russ (Karen) Hill, of Piedmont and Mike (Holly) Hill, of Georgia and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Key was a loving father and grandfather who loved spending time with his grandsons and family. In his spare time, he enjoyed listening to music, watching old movies and playing his guitar. Mr. Key was a U.S. Army veteran and served his country during the Vietnam War Era. He retired from the City of Jacksonville after working with the Water, Sewer and Gas Board for almost 20 years. Mr. Key was preceded in death by his father, Eugene Key; his mother, Mary Emmaline Hill; his step-father, Sam Hill and one brother, Tony Key.
