Mobile - Larry Tucker, 62, of Tanner Williams, formerly of Ohatchee, passed away on February 14, 2013, surrounded by his family. Mr. Tucker was born in Ohatchee on July 13, 1950. He graduated from Ohatchee High School in 1968. He had been a resident of the Mobile area for the past 33 years. He was married to Linda Dumas Tucker on October 26, 1981; they were married for 31 years. Mr. Tucker owned and operated Heart of Dixie Tree and Landscape in Mobile, since 1979. He enjoyed playing bluegrass music, was an avid hunter and fisherman, and was a man of many talents. Mr. Tucker is preceded in death by his father, Eugene Tucker; his mother, Elsie Curvin Tucker; two sisters, Judith and Sherian Tucker; and brother, Jerry Tucker. He is survived by his wife, Linda Dumas Tucker; two daughters, Deidra Foote (Rick), of Alexandria and April Tucker, of Talladega; three grandchildren, Shelby and Mackenzie Foote of Alexandria, and Taylor Peteet, of Talladega; one brother, Davy Tucker (Tammie), of Ohatchee; several nieces and nephews and other family and friends. Visitation will be held at Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel, today, February 16, 2013, from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. with a chapel service immediately following the visitation. Rick Foote, son-in-law of the deceased, will be officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Flowers may be sent to Forest Lawn Funeral Home.
