Memorial service for Laura Ann Rowell Minshew, 77, will be 11 a.m. on Wednesday at First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Peter Hawker officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Mrs. Minshew passed away Thursday in Anniston. Survivors include her daughters, Sally Minshew Watson, of Greer, S.C., Laurie Minshew Jackson (Mark), of Montgomery, and Martha Minshew Dingler (Jeff,) of Anniston; grandchildren, William Gerald Watson, Sarah Tanner Watson, Robert Alexander Jackson, Andrew Rowell Jackson, James Samuel Dingler and John Woodruff Dingler; nieces and nephews Collie and Charles Dickinson, Hank and Paula Perkins, Grena and Andrew Jackson, Windy Perkins, Jim and Vaughn Lee Griffin, and Jerry Griffin. Mrs. Minshew is preceded in death by her parents, Alex and Frances Rowell; husband, Gerald Clyde "Jerry" Minshew; son-in-law, Brian Watson; aunt and uncle Farris and Essie Webster Mrs. Minshew was a lifelong resident of Calhoun County and a lifetime member of First United Methodist Church of Anniston. She graduated Anniston High School in 1957 and Sullins College in 1959. She was a member of the Bridge Club, Parnassus Study Club and Revelers Krewe.
