The funeral service for Mrs. LeMerle N. Williams, 88, will be at 1 p.m. on Monday, February 20, 2017 at Golden Springs Baptist Church with Dr. Roland Brown officiating. Interment will follow at Cedarwood Cemetery in Roanoke. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Mrs. Williams passed away on February 16, 2017 at home. Mrs. Williams was a native of Roanoke. She was a member of Golden Springs Baptist Church in Anniston. Mrs. Williams was also a retired civil service employee at Ft. McClellan. Mrs. Williams is preceded in death by her parents, Brice and Clara Nolen, of Roanoke; two sisters, Ann Parker and Melvalene Knight, and four brothers, Jake Nolen, Hugh Nolen, Doyle Nolen, and Lawrence Nolen. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, James Harold Williams, of Anniston; a daughter, Kathryn E. Moore, of Anniston; a son, Jimmy Williams (Cindy), of Trussville; a step-daughter, Janet Adcock, of Sharpsburg, Ga.; three grandchildren, Lauren Moore Scotch (Matt), of Houston, TX, Anna Kathryn Moore Pierce (Travis), of Taiwan, and Hayden Paul Williams, of Trussville; two step- grandchildren, Matt Adcock and Ryan Adcock, both of Georgia.
