Graveside service for Mr. Leo Charles Searcy Jr, 66, also known as Charlie, were held on Monday, March 9, 2015 at Forestlawn Memorial Gardens. His grandson, Collin Searcy, officiated the service. Lacey Dickert, a special family member, said a prayer. Mr. Searcy was called home by the good Lord on March 5, 2015. Mr. Searcy is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Loretta Searcy; son, Leo C. Searcy III(Jody); daughter, Sherri Searcy; grandchildren, Collin Searcy, Hope Searcy, Jordyn Searcy and Aubrey Carter; mother in law, Clara Woods; extended family from Michigan and Oklahoma. He is preceded in death by his parents, Leo C. and Mary June Searcy; grandson, Christopher Searcy; cousins, who were more like brothers and sisters, Pat Pollard, Butch Grant and Allen Grant; a father in law, Reginald Woods. Mr. Searcy was retired from the State of Alabama after 20 years of service. He loved playing music and was so very talented at it. He played with local bands in various establishments in the southeast over the past 40 years. Mr. Searcy was a Christian and a member of the Church of Christ.
